Finally, the MLS Series is set, with the New York Yankees battling the Houston Astros in a better-of-seven game starting Wednesday night.

For the Houston Astros, it’s time to wait after completing a three-game sweep against the Seattle Mariners at ALDS on Saturday at Emerald City.

Meanwhile, the New York Yankees survived not only the Cleveland Guardians in another ALDS game, but weather delays that led to some unconventional schedules.

So, who has the advantage? Here’s what to watch when the ALCS kicks off on Wednesday.

3 Things To Watch For The New York Yankees And Houston Astros ALCS

3. Will the schedule really benefit the Astros?

The Astros have been waiting since the early hours of Sunday morning in the Lone Star State to see who they face. New York will arrive late Tuesday night in Houston after finally ousting Cleveland. Can the Astros take advantage of the rest and jump on the Yankees early in the first game?

The Astros also have the advantage of being able to completely reset their spins, with Justin Verlander and Framber Valdez, the same bowlers who started their first two ALDS games against Seattle, set to take the hill in games 1 and 2 against New York. Meanwhile, the Yankees said Jameson Taillon will start in Game 1 And discover the rest of the table from there. On paper, this is an obvious advantage for the Astros, even taking the travel case out of the equation.

Houston enters the ALCS with the advantage of playing at home, but playing in Houston could be more beneficial for Game 1 simply because the less comfortable Yankees had to travel to get there.
